Bichon Frise named Jezzabelle. She is our "little love." When we
travel we leave her with Carol in her home in Plymouth. I met Carol
through a mutual acquaintance. I praise the day we met. We drop
Jezzabelle off at Carol's home and my husband and I know that we can
leave on our vacation and not have a worry in the world about the
care that our dog is receiving. I can honestly say that I believe
that Carol loves our dog Jezzabelle as much as we do. We have left
her with Carol for more than two weeks at a time and we know that
she is receiving all the love and attention that every dog deserves.
If we had not met Carol I don't know what we would do --because the
last place we would want to leave her is in a kennel. Leaving
Jezzabelle at Carol's home is Jezzabelle's "vacation" for we know
she is very well cared for and very happy playing with her

I'd like to say a few words about Carol Shapiro and how she cares for dogs but, a few words wouldn't be able to cover the love she gives. I have known Carol for over ten years and she has groomed and baby sat my dogs (Poochie, the Bichon and April, the Maltese) for all these years. After Poochie passed, she was as heartbroken as I was and found April for me.....April was her gift to me. I have gone away for as long as a month and as short as five days and Carol has always been there for me. When she picks up April at my house, April can't decide who to run to - she loves us both. Last summer my wife and I inherited two dogs when my brother- in- law passed away at a young age from cancer. He lived on a houseboat in Alameda CA with Sam and Maddie; an Australian Shepherd and a Border Collie. We packed them up and drove them home to Plymouth and we all began our new lives together. They are really good dogs, but there was a definite transition to be sure. One of the issues was boarding as we go to ME on a regular basis to see our grandchild. We tried a reputable person but this didn’t work out.
I had gotten Carol’s number earlier but lost it. I was then lucky enough to find it again by searching on the web. We talked and she said to bring the dogs up to her for an interview with her dogs to see how they got along. OK I was scratching my head. But I did as requested and all went well.
Then it happened. The dogs fell in love with Carol and her family and they fell in love with Sam and Maddie. The rest is history. They both now get very excited when I say we are going to see Carol and are happy to stay in her home while we are away.
Then the next thing happened. Carol saved us a significant amount over the local franchise store in her grooming fees and does a wonderful job on them. And last but not least I must admit that my wife and I fell in love with her too. So don’t go by what I say because I am prejudiced. GREG

Carol has been our dog groomer and sitter for
approximately 8 years for our three West Highland white terrier’s and our Jack
Russell. She is professional, prompt, courteous, and most importantly, she has
a charming way with our pets. Rambo, who is a ball of energy, is totally at
home, and actually seems to "enjoy" his experience when he arrives for stay and
play!"
Carol, is very reassuring, and is totally cooperative
with our now elderly Westie who is 16 years old! She grooms Duddy as per our
instructions, and is very able at her profession. I should mention that I was
once a breeder/owner handler in the dog show world and I have personally groomed
my dogs for the ring. Carol also adheres to her appointment schedule, and has
been insightful regarding our dogs' needs and behaviors.
Prior to dealing with Carol, our experience with
groomers was not nearly as pleasant as it is today. It is fortuitous that our
paths crossed and that she has become a fixed part of our calendar! In addition,
we never worry if we have to travel for extended periods.
I believe that everyone with whom Carol interacts
professionally, will have a wonderful experience, and will become one of her
extremely satisfied customers.
I have known Carol for as many years as I have had my Yorkshire Terrier, Nikki. Nikki is a healthy 9 year old, 6 pound yorki who simply adores Carol, and, it is obvious to all who see them together, that the feeling is quite mutual. I work part time as a program administrator and instructor in several academic nursing programs. This position has required me to travel to the West Coast quite often. I also just enjoy traveling and seeing different parts of the world.
Carol has taken a big anxiety out of my life during my
travel times because I know when I leave my pup with her, he is cared for just
as conscientiously as he would be if I were home with him. She is a not
only a knowledgeable canine groomer and walker, but a delightfully
patient and loving person, and every dog in her care gets the benefits
of that warm attitude. Carol genuinely loves her charges, loves being with
them and appreciates their unique personalities. I would recommend Carol,
and have to many other animal owners, for boarding, grooming and walking
